Bernadette C. “Bernie” Linhart, 93, of Shavehead Lake, Cass County, Michigan, died Monday, October 8, 2012 in Greenleaf Living Center in Elkhart, Indiana. She was born December 23, 1918 in Chicago, Illinois to Joseph and Elizabeth (Stava) Tintera. She married Ernest A “Ernie” Linhart on May 17, 1941, in Cicero, Illinois. They were longtime residents of Westchester, Illinois until 1999.
He preceded her in death on May 16, 2009. She was also preceded by one sister, Dorothy Poro.Family and friends will greatly miss Bernie.
She is survived by one daughter, Mary Beth (Thad) Cizma of Westmont, Illinois; two sons, Thomas E. Linhart of New Brooklyn, Illinois, John J. (Rosemarie) Linhart of Chicago, Illinois; eight grandchildren, Jennifer, Tom and Todd Baryl, Katie, Julie, Matthew, Eric and Chris Linhart; four great grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Vent of Watervliet, Elizabeth T. “Betty” O’Connor of Dundee, Illinois; and one sister in law, Marcy Hopps.
