Benny Ray Stockstill, age 73, passed away Monday January 18th at Slidell Memorial Hospital with family at his side.A native of Picayune, MS, he was the only son and eldest child of Ray and Vestal Stockstill. Following a whirlwind courtship, he married the love of his life, Sharon. Shortly after marrying, he was drafted by the Army and stationed in Germany where he served as a missile technician. Benny worked for the telephone company in Carriere for 37 years. Following his retirement in 2009, he enjoyed traveling with his wife and wood working. Benny never met a stranger, always had a smile and a friendly word for everyone who knew him. He took great pride in his family and was a favorite uncle to his many nieces and nephews.Benny is preceded in death by his parents, and his granddaughter, Briana Alane Dekemel…..
