Benjamin Joseph Smith, 40 known as BJ by all his family and friends, passed away peacefully in his home February 13, 2021. BJ was born in Montgomery on October 9, 1980 to mother, Dorothy Diane Spivey and father, Gregory “Scotty” Smith.
BJ was a very loyal person and he loved hard and if you were able to crack that hard exterior, he carried around then you would know he was just a big old teddy bear that loved to make people laugh. BJ had a good life, but he also had a hard life and struggles that no person should have to endure but he fought hard to the end. He is now in Heaven with Jesus in complete peace and pain free!!!!! BJ, you will be missed more than you could ever imagine, until we meet again, Love you!
He is survived by his wife, Amy Bergh Smith, One daughter, Hayley Smith, mother, Dorothy Diane Smith, father, Gregory “Scotty” Smith, sister, Ashley Smith, baby brother, Casey Smith, paternal grandmother, Martha Bennet Dingler.
