Colonel Benjamin Bowes Beasley passed away on December 3, 2013 at his home in Florida. In December 1934, he was born at West Point, New York while his father was teaching at the Academy. He graduated from Western High School in the District of Columbia in 1952, and from West Point in the class of 1957.
His twenty five year career in the Army Armored Corps included two assignments in Germany and two tours in Vietnam.
After retiring from the Army, he worked for Saudi-Aramco for twelve and half years until reaching their mandatory retirement age. Ben and his lovely wife, Tammy, moved home to Bluewater Bay, Florida where they have lived happily since 1994. He is survived by two brothers and two sisters, five adult children, ten grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Tammy and Ben are deeply grateful for the loving care given them at Emerald Coast Cancer Center, Fort Walton Beach Medical Center and Covenant Hospice.
