Benitho Timothee was born on March 28th, 1928, at a small section of Roche a Bateau in the South of Haiti, from his parents, Dorilus Timothee and Cecile Jean Baptiste.

Benitho nurtured his faith early on, attending the Biblical School of MEBSH in 1949, right after middle school.

Benitho was known to be a man of character, a storyteller, even when that implied telling the same story over and over again; and also, a man of compassion, with the most charitable heart. He was also known for not negotiating his trips in order to flee the cold winter. When it was time to go, it was definitely time to go! Every year, He would miraculously gather and fit all sorts of goodies to bring back to his family members, friends and neighbors in Haiti. He was not afraid to also throw 7 tantrums a day when he wanted his ticket back to Florida to be booked and his go to line, (which he been saying at least the past thirty years) was “Jou a rive sou mwe”, spiced up with some screaming “Douleur, douleur”.

Benitho leaves behind his six children, Eunice, Jean Wilberson, Merlande, Benikel, Yvela, and Berthony; 8 grandchildren, Jerry, Maille and Tedd Timothee, Bianca and Eric Bruno, Mikelly and Yvelande Timothee, Ashton Charles, many nieces and nephews.
