Ben R. Jones, 74, of W. Central Park Avenue in New Carlisle, Indiana, passed away Monday, January 9, 2006, in his home after a battle with cancer. Ben was born on December 25, 1931, in South Bend to the late Rufus and Furn Frances (Corwin) Jones. He retired in 1975, as a self employed mechanic and carpenter.
Surviving are his children, Deb (Bob) Holcomb of New Carlisle, Jenny (Red) Wilson of New Carlisle, Sandy (Tom) Byram of California, Becky (Edward) Haney of Texas, Helen (Bill) Barlow of Michigan, Delsie (JR) Ewing of South Bend, Raymond D. Jones of New Carlisle, Ken (Shirley) Jones of Texas, James (Cathy) Banes of Amarillo, Texas, Ben R. Jones, Jr. of Buchanan, Michigan, Casey Jones of Buchanan, Michigan, Ted Paul Jones of Florida; 31 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; a sister, Ruth Kennedy of Niles, Michigan; and a brother, Arthur Jones of Oldtown, Florida.
