SAGERS, Belva Jane, Kalamazoo. Belva Jane Sagers, 75, of Kalamazoo and formerly of Bloomingdale, died at Bronson Hospital on Friday, July 22, 2011. Jane was born to Roy and Evelyn Taylor on October 29, 1935 in Kalamazoo. Jane was previously employed at Pullman Industries in Bloomingdale, the bakery at Superior Market in Gobles and at Perrigo in Allegan.
Jane was preceded in death by her husband, John K. in November of 1996; her parents; brothers Alton, Jim, Roy and William Buckey; a sister, Vivian Wentworth. Surviving are her sons, John Kathryn of Bloomingdale and Don Becky of Schoolcraft; grandchildren, Daisy Sagers of Paw Paw, Lily & Steven Sagers of Schoolcraft.
Jane is also survived by her brother, Larry Janice of Kalamazoo; sisters, Evelyn Williams of Mattawan, Vera Hawes of Mattawan and Melva Jean Charles Ulmer of Rockford; sisters-in-law, Barbara Benders of Kalamazoo and Patricia Sagers of Montague, MI; brother-in-law, Ronald Mary Lou of Schoolcraft. Jane enjoyed spending time with and spoiling her 3 grandchildren. She loved to watch figure skating and reading detective magazines. At Christmas time, she made her special fudge, peanut brittle and hard candy to give her family and friends. Jane was a very generous person and will be missed by all.
