Belle Baron Zucker passed away peacefully at age 96 years old at the Hebrew Center for Health and Rehabilitation in West Hartford, CT surrounded by her family. Belle was born April 10, 1923 in Brooklyn, New York to Hyman and Ida Baron. She graduated from Brown’s Business College after finishing high school. She met Max her beloved late husband of 46 years and got married in 1949 in New York City, after a blind date and a brief engagement. Along with her husband she was also predeceased by her sister Sarah Segal and Brother Eli Baron. They moved to Connecticut after their first son Chuck was born and she worked as a book keeper and raised her family here. Her hobbies included sewing and baking cakes and was a prolific cake decorator.
   Belle was a member of Temple Beth Sholom B’nai Israel for many years. She was a devoted member of the Sisterhood, where she served as past Financial Secretary, Treasurer, past President, and Torah Fund Chairperson for 27 years. Her and Max also served as President of the Mr. & Mrs. Club for many years.
   She is survived by her two sons, Chuck and his wife Ariela of Ellsworth, Maine and Spin and his wife Lori of South Windsor, Connecticut. She leaves behind five grandchildren Yael Halevi and husband Riem of Petah Tikva, Israel, Tal Zucker of Portland, Maine, Leora Kirk and her husband Shane of Portland, Maine, Keren Zucker of Ellsworth, Maine (sometimes Montana), and Alysia Bator and her husband Ryan of Andover, CT. She is also survived by six great grandchildren, Ayalah, Ofir, Shachar, and Orian Halevi of Petah Tikva, Israel and Emilia and Maisie Kirk of Portland, Maine.
