GROVELAND – Beatrice M. Cox, 91, longtime Groveland resident, formerly of Haverhill, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, March 11, 2018.
She was born in Provincetown on July 8, 1926, daughter of Gordon O. and Dorothy E. (Brown) Denzin. Her education included her graduation from Granby High School in Norfolk, Virginia and her study of nursing at Barnard College, New York City. It was while at Barnard that she met her future husband, William D. Cox, who was studying at Columbia University. Bea and Bill were married in Norfolk, VA on June 20, 1946 and together they eventually returned to Haverhill to raise a family. Bea was the loving wife of Bill for 54 years until his passing in 2000.
