Beatrice Lynn Viens, 58, of Westminster, died Sunday, March 27, 2011 at Carroll Hospice’s Dove House. Born Nov. 6, 1952 in Toledo, Ohio she was the daughter of June Strayer Goerlitz of Colorado and the late Donald E. Groves. Survived by her companion Tom Van Horn of Westminster.
She was a homemaker and member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Westminster. She lived in Europe for many years and enjoyed traveling and calligraphy.
In addition to her companion she is survived by daughter Natalie Viens of New Market, sons and daughters-in-law Ryan and Kristine Viens of Hampstead, Jesse and Jennifer Viens of San Antonio, TX, Neil Viens of Augusta, Ga., Keith Viens of Columbia, and Ross and Alyssa Viens of San Diego, Ca.; sisters Lisa Cerny of Eldersburg and Tami Oliver of Colorado; and one brother Don Groves of Colorado. Also survived by 12 grandchildren.
