Beatrice Capesius, age 75, of LuVerne died on Tuesday June 2, 2015 at the Good Samaritan Society in Algona. Beatrice Stella, daughter of Lorenz and Julia (Thilges) Bormann, was born on December 7, 1939 in Algona, Iowa. She graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1957.
On February 17, 1962, Beatrice was united in marriage to James Capesius at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in St. Joe. She enjoyed gardening, quilting and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Beatrice is survived by her husband of 53 years, James; her children Gerald (Leann Berte) Capesius of Algona, Michael (Jan Fandel) Capesius of LuVerne, Mary Kay (Tory) Prasco of Crown Point, Indiana and Jennifer (Jim) Ludwig of Wesley; grandchildren: Lexi, Joey, and Annie Prasco, Nick, Katie and John Ludwig and Caelyn and Kylie Capesius; brothers Leo (Irene) Bormann, Alvin (Pat) Bormann and Ralph (Melanie) Bormann and a sister, Edna Kirsch. She was preceded in death by her daughter Susie Capesius; parents, Lorenz and Julia Bormann and a brother-in-law, Robert Kirsch.
