Beatrice “Bea” K. Reiter, 69, of Spirit Lake passed away on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake. Bea was born on June 25, 1951 in Sioux Rapids, IA the daughter of Thomas and Vera (Kruger) Karl. She graduated from high school in Spirit Lake and earned an associates degree in accounting from Iowa Lake Community College. She worked for many years as an accountant for Narey, Chozen & Saunders in Spirit Lake. She later did bookkeeping for the Ann Wallace Bookkeeping Company. Eventually she opened Bea’s Reiter’s Accounting Service. After closing her business, she went to work for the Dickinson County Treasure’s Office as a Bookkeeper. Bea was united in marriage to Clarence Reiter on May 9, 1970. They made their home in Spirit Lake. She enjoyed camping, gardening, tending her elaborate flower garden, doing yard work and mowing. She is survived by her husband Clarence of Spirit Lake; son Tom Reiter of Terril; granddaughter Skyler Reiter Williamson of Spencer; siblings Barb Woods of Spencer; Donnie (Arlene) Karl of Spencer; Bonnie (Tom) Lambert of Milford; Brenda (Roger) Johnson and Dave Karl of Spirit Lake. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Denny Karl, Darrell Karl and a sister Beverly Longmore.
