My darling Barry Lawson, 63, Anderson, left this earth Wednesday, July 11, 2012. My darling Barry died in one brief moment gone too soon.

He was born in Anderson and loved living here. He was a graduate of Anderson High School and Hobart School for his trade. He was my hero. He was a Vietnam Veteran who served his country honorably. Barry worked as a Welder and Pipefitter for 17 years out of the local union in Muncie. He retired from Guide Lamp Division of General Motors, where he was a welder and pipefitter. He was one of only a few that crossed over in trades at Guide. He loved me; his dog, Walter Earl and his cat, Buddy. He loved his sisters, his brother, and his friends. He loved golf. He was a gentle giant of a man. He was larger than life with a smile, laugh, and sparkling blue eyes that lit up a room. His mother, Betty; and his father, Bob preceded him in death along with many veterans before him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Dreathia; his brother, Rick Gretchen Pringle; sisters, Linda Mike Wainscott, and Brynda Tom Day Hall; two nephews, Jeromy McPearson of Muncie, and Lance Blossom of Anderson; one niece, Staci Chad Low and special little great niece, Greenliegh Blossom.
