Barry A. Blakeslee, 74, of Aurora, Ohio, passed away January 22, 2023; He was the loving husband of Cindy Klenz, father of Barry (Rachelle), and David (Abby); stepfather to Emily (Joe) Grgincic, David Klenz, Katie (Josue) Ventura, and Laura Klenz; Grandpa/Papa to Laurel, Josip, Adelynne, Enzo, Luca, and Stela; Brother of Deborah Smith and Brian. Barry is preceeded by his parents, Charles and Ruth, and his late wife, Laura Blakeslee. His family wishes to thank his loving caregiver, Shawnda for her compassion, companionship and kindness to Barry.
Barry served in the US Navy and completed a tour in Vietnam; when he returned, he worked as a tool and die maker. He served as councilman in Macedonia, and was a proud member of the American Kennel Club. But his passion was his music collection and he could be found many afternoons perusing the record stores, searching for the one last piece he needed for his collection. His favorite artists were the Beatles and John Mayall, and his eyes always lit up when he found the missing music he had been searching for.
Barry enjoyed traveling with Cindy, and especially enjoyed the beautiful summer drives up to “the cabin” in the Adirondack mountains of New York.
Barry will be missed- forever and for always.
