Barbara Jane Allen was born in Chicago, Il on January 7, 1936 to the late Miles N. and Marie (Feldmann) Allen. While dedicating her time to family she also earned a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Teaching from Michigan State University in June of 1990. She became the director of the READ Association in Saginaw for 13 years. Barb loved encouraging young children to continue their education and learning abilities.
