Barbara T. Speck Leavy, 71, of Cromwell, wife of John E. Leavy, passed away on Wednesday, January 14th at home. Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Annie (Cunningham) O’Reilly and had lived in Cromwell for 12 years. Besides her husband, Barbara is survived by two stepsons, Bernie Leavy of Cromwell and John Leavy and his wife, Laurie of Cromwell; five grandchildren; her sister, Gerry Newhouse of Bristol and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Mary Coughlin and a brother, Thomas O’Reilly.
