Barbara Sue Eighmey Stephens, age 73, of Farris Branch Road, Wallingford, passed away Thursday, May 18, 2017, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead.
Born March 5, 1944, in Otego, New York, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth Norman Eiehman, Sr., and Mary Charlotte Nichols Eighmey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, LaDue Stephens on May 11, 2013; one daughter, Mary Charlotte McDonald; one sister, Bertha Charlesbois, and one brother, Kenneth Eighmey, Jr.
She is survived by two daughters, Gretchen Dehart of Wallingford and Geraldine McDonald of Polk City, Florida; three sons, Timothy Munroe of Hector, New York, Richard Munroe of Dundee, New York, and William McDonald of Shelbyville; seven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
Other survivors include three sisters, Mary Beckley of Lakeland, Florida, Judith Covert of Ocklawaha, Florida, and Cynthia Meckley of Waterloo, New York; three brothers, James Eighmey of Lakeland, Florida, Barnett Eighmey of Melbourne, Florida, and Henry Eighmey of Interlaken, New York; and several nieces and nephews.
