Barbara R. Pagel, 74, of Greenacre Road in South Bend, Indiana, passed away Friday, June 17, 2005, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka, Indiana. Barbara was born on January 6, 1931, in Elkhart, Indiana, to the late John and Clara (Gollner) Boyd.
Barbara was employed with Fiserv Mortgage Products Division from 1991 until her retirement in 1996, and was previously employed with Standard Federal from 1983-1991.
On July 16, 1949, Barbara married Ralph Pagel, who preceded her in death on March 23, 1957. Surviving are her daughters, Victoria (Christopher) Squint of Osceola, Indiana; Barbara “Bobbiesue” (Stephen) Steininger of Lawrenceville, Georgia; her sons, Eric “Rick” (Susan) Pagel of Battleground, Washington; James R. “Robby” Rinker of South Bend; Scott N. (Mary) Rinker of Cassopolis, Michigan; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and her brother William Boyd of Tampa, Florida. A sister, Norma Cebulski and a brother, John Boyd preceded her in death.
