Mrs. Robinson peacefully passed away at her daughter’s residence in Yuma, Arizona after a brief illness.

Barbara Priscilla Robinson was born August 19, 1928 in Dallas, Texas. She was raised by her late father, Charles E. Johnson in Phoenix, Arizona and received her formal education in the Phoenix School District which was segregated in her youth. She attended Washington Elementary and Carver High School. Before Barbara could finish her education, she fell in love and was united in Holy Matrimony with Howard J. Butler. Three children were born to their union, one daughter, Barbara Ann, and two sons who preceded her in death, Howard J. Jr. and Larry B.

In 1954, Barbara took her children and relocated to San Diego, California. She continued her education and graduated from Memorial Adult Evening School and Mesa College receiving a certificate as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.

After twenty-three years of being a single parent, Barbara met and married Maloyd Robinson, a proud Master Mason. She joined Simon Peter Johnson Sr. Chapter on March 24, 1978. She served many stations and served as Worthy Matron three times, in 1984, 1991 and 1992. She was a member of Isis Court #104 and Silver Strand Assembly #91, Order of the Golden Circle.

She retired from U.S.

Barbara Priscilla Robinson departed this life on November 1, 2013 in Yuma, Arizona at the residence of her daughter, Barbara Ann Taylor, who was caring for her.
