Barbara Louise Moulds, beloved daughter, sister, and friend, passed away Monday, January 9, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Barbara, “Our Family’s Rock,” lived her life in the service of others, and was especially known for her love of her family.

She is survived by her dearest friend, Sherry Fenton; her mother, Teresa Cummins Moulds of Albuquerque; her siblings, Michael Moulds, and his wife, Wendy, Robert Moulds and his wife, Jan, Anne Laughlin and her husband, Noel, Patrick Moulds and his wife, Paula, and Margaret Vittitow and her partner, Mark; her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her father, William J. Moulds.

Barbara was a big sports buff; she loved children, M&Ms, and especially being with her nieces and nephews. Barb’s creative hands and eye for beauty brought lovely decorative items and artistic gifts to everyone around her. She was a woman of great faith and a lifelong Catholic.

Barb was born March 13, 1961 in Albuquerque. She grew up in Albuquerque and graduated from Highland High School in 1979. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Wildlife Biology from NMSU and a Master’s Degree in Library Science from North Texas State University. Barb was a devoted teacher and librarian in the Albuquerque Public School system for nearly 20 years, and touched the lives of countless children and many adults. Barb was strong, positive, encouraging, and an incredible person. We will miss her immensely!
