Barbara “Bobbi” Miner, 76, of Boise, passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at a local hospital. Bobbi was born on July 24, 1935, at Floyd County, Kentucky, to Joe and Nan Hall. Bobbi grew up on Toler’s Creek with her parents, brothers and sisters. She attended school at Tolers Creek, KY.
Bobbi married Marcus Keathley on December 30, 1953. Out of this union six sons were born. This marriage later ended. On September 13, 1985, Bobbi married Gerald “Jerry” Miner and they made their home in Meridian until 2010. She then moved to an assisted living facility with her husband.
Bobbi worked many years at a retirement center and as a caregiver in the homes of the elderly. She loved helping others and this gave her great satisfaction.
Bobbi is survived by her husband, Gerald “Jerry” of Boise; six sons, Darrell (Rhonda) of Belfry, KY, Ricky (Debi) of Danville, KY, Clarence (Gloria) of Meridian, ID, Terry (Eula Jo) of Prestonsburg, KY, Billy (Carol) of Belfry, KY, and Scott (Janice) of Boise, ID; two step-children, Jeff of Washington, and Vicki of Boise, ID; 18 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one brother, Town Hall of Pocatello, ID; two sisters, Gertrude Frasure of Kuna, ID, and Melva McCall of Boise, ID, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters and two brothers.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to St. Luke’s Medical Center-Meridian, for their care of Bobbi in her final days; Edgewood Spring Creek-Overland for their care of Bobbi since 2010, and for all the family members that loved her and comforted her in her final hours.
