SISTER BARBARA MARIE WITT, OLVM, age 85, a resident of Victory Noll, died at 10:40 P.M on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at Holy Family Health Care Center at Victory Noll, Huntington.
Sister Barbara Marie was born in Belleville, Illinois on December 3, 1924 to John and Eleanora Fohl Witt. Four brothers, Joseph, Paul, Bernard and Cyril Witt and two sisters, Eleanora Draper and Marie Degenhardt preceded her in death.
Sister Barbara Marie entered the Congregation of Our Lady of Victory Missionary Sisters on October 27, 1945 and made first vows on August 5, 1948. She served in the missions in Michigan, Indiana, California, Texas and at Victory Noll. She retired from Food Service in 1993 and became a volunteer.
