BRIGHAM CITY – Barbara Marie Maero Wright, 74, passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 surrounded by her family.
Barbara was born on February 4, 1942 in Brigham City, Utah a daughter of Vinnie Estelle Wheatley and McLain Henry (Mick) Maero.
She grew up in Honeyville, and also lived in Harper Ward and Brigham City where she graduated from Box Elder High School. Barbara graduated from Utah State University. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Barbara taught Sunday School and also served a mission at the LDS Conference Center.
Barbara taught elementary school in Box Elder County for 30 years at Corinne, Mountain View, and Lakeview schools. She participated in various positions with the Peach Queen Pageant and she also judged pageant’s. Barbara played softball in her younger years, she enjoyed traveling the world, baseball, taking photos, music and reading.
Surviving are her children: Wendy (Keith) Witt; daughter, and Shawn (Brandje) Bingham, son. Two grandchildren: Geoff (Keely) Hansen and Chase Bingham; great-grandson Gavin Hansen; and brother, Norman LaMont Maero.
Preceded in death by her parents; sisters; Mary Bardee Maero; Elma Maero and brother Tracy Maero.
