It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Barbara Marie Henderson, who peacefully departed this life on July 4, 2024, at the age of 79. Born in Deland, Florida, on August 30, 1944, she moved to New York at the tender age of 7, where she spent much of her childhood and early adulthood.After a dedicated career with Verizon, she retired and found solace in the serene surroundings of Virginia Beach. Her nurturing spirit led her to serve as a bus assistant for special needs children in the Virginia Beach school district, a role she cherished deeply.
