Springfield-Barbara M. Leger, 96, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2020. Barbara was born March 25, 1924 in Springfield to the late Clifford and Mable (Matthews) Hutchinson. She was a graduate of Springfield Technical High School. For many years she worked at Food Mart in Springfield and the surrounding communities.
Barbara was predeceased by her husband, John W. Leger in 1993. She leaves a son, John M. Leger of Belchertown and his partner Carol Pitts of Brimfield; a daughter, Karen E. Leger and her partner Richard St. Germain of Hampden; a cousin, Bernard Matthews of Vermont; three grandchildren, Kevin R. Houle, Kelly M. Houle and Kristopher J. Houle; six great grandchildren, Kacey, Karly, Nicholas, Jason, Braeden and Collin.
