Barbara passed into her heavenly home on January 28, 2014 at MidMichigan Stratford Village. There she will join her parents Laurel and Dorothy ((Klenke) Weidenmier and her twin brother Robert. She was born in Midland in 1931 and lived her entire life here.
In September of 1949 she was married to her husband “Herbert” Duane Woodcock. Barbara was a member of the Homer United Methodist Church for many years. There she served on numerous committees and was also an active member of the Homer United Methodist Women. She was also a member of the Studley Grange for many years where she had the pleasure of working on many community service projects. Perhaps her favorite was being a reading buddy with 1st grade students at the Floyd School in the Bullock Creek School District. She and Duane did this for many years. Barb was employed at the J. C. Penney Co. for twenty years, but her favorite job, was that of wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker.
Surviving are her beloved husband Duane of 64 years; her son Steven (Marie) Woodcock of Traverse City, daughter Terry (Mike) Bonnell of Newburgh, Indiana, daughter Janet Woodcock of Mt. Pleasant granddaughter Rebecca Schuster and Anya Woodcock and her sister Lorna (Rev. Nick) Scroggens of Florida. She will also be greatly missed by her wonderful church family. Barb was preceded in death by her sister, Jean Woodcock, brother in law, Warren Woodcock, sister and brother in law, Marie and Duane Peasley.
