Barbara L. (Harding) McLeod, 65 passed away surrounded by her loving family Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2014 in Greenwood. She was a resident of Greenwood. Barb was born August 16, 1949 in Indianapolis to Richard G. Sr. and Paula A. Harding.
She married Gary A. McLeod on Feb. 26, 1972; they were married for 24 years.
Barb was an executive administrative assistant at Community Hospital East for 35 years, retiring in 2000. She then became employed with Eli Lilly and Co. for 14 years. She was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary with the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Greenwood Post 5864. Barb was very involved and an advocate for the veterans. She enjoyed crafts, shopping and traveling. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her mother, Paula A. Harding of Indianapolis, a daughter, Amanda L. (James) Hogan of Greenwood, a sister, Sally J. Francis of Indianapolis, brother, Richard G. (Sharon) Harding Jr. of Nashville, two grandchildren, Wesley A. and Kylee G. Hogan, three nieces, Amy (Mark) Wortman, Emily Francis and Sarah Bonham and a nephew, Rich (Debbie) Harding.
She was preceded in death by her father, Richard G. Harding Sr. and her husband, Gary A. McLeod.
