Barbara L. “Bobbie” Sheehan, 77, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 1, 2022 in her home.
She was born on April 18, 1945 to the late Leroy and Gladys (Hendes) Voelkers in Clinton, Iowa, and lived most of her life in South Bend, Indiana. Along with her parents; she was preceded in death by her son, David Sheehan; and her brother, Leroy (Dick) Voelkers.
Bobbie is survived by her daughter, Corrine (Ronald) Hornbeck of South Bend, IN; six grandchildren, Tabitha (Bart) Cottrell; Ricky Warren; Jake Warren; Rowan Hornbeck; Cadence Hornbeck; and Graham Hornbeck; three great grandchildren Casey, Carter, and Natalie Cottrell; a daughter-in-law, Diana Sheehan of Whiteland, IN; and two sisters, Judie Cronacher and Sharon Ferrell.
Bobbie was a devoted grandmother and mother. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, and working on home improvement projects in her own home as well as helping her children with theirs. She held many jobs over the years, but was most proud of the time she spent volunteering at Logan Center. She will be sadly missed and will always hold a place in our hearts.
