Barbara Kay Ruger, 73, of Marseilles, passed away Friday, March 6, 2020 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford.
Ms. Ruger was born March 20, 1946 at St. Margaret’s Hospital in Spring Valley to Edward C. and Bernice (Krysiak) Ruger. She worked as a secretary in the construction industry. She enjoyed racing horses and competed at many local fairs, winning at least 3 blue ribbons, as well as trying to become a jockey at Arlington International Racecourse in Arlington Heights.
Survivors include her son, Kenneth Ruger of Evanston.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Edward Dale Ruger.
