Barbara “Jean” Stalnaker, 90, of Clarksburg, passed away on July 18, 2022 in Fairmont. She was born on June 21, 1932 in Weston a daughter of the late James Goff White and Mabel Woofter White.
Jean was an upbeat and happy person and she was very personable and selfless. Early in her career she worked for the phone company and also worked in Real Estate with Preferred Properties. She was a member of CWA, Communications workers of America and Telephone Pioneer retirees. She also enjoyed collecting beautiful things.
She is survived by two sons, Richard F. Stalnaker of Clarksburg and Kevin Stalnaker and his wife Melissa of Mannington; four grandchildren, Kelsey Joy, Hannah Stalnaker, Zachery Stalnaker and Thomas Stalnaker; three great grandchildren, Anna, Maddie and Landon Joy; one brother John White of Seattle, WA; along with several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents Jean was also preceded in death by; seven brothers and sisters and by the love of her life, her husband of 38 years Richard F. Stalnaker, who passed away in 1991.
