Barbara Jean Waters, 64, died at Memorial Hospital following a brief illness on January 7, 2020.
Barbara was born August 8, 1955 in Moline, Illinois to Ben and Arlene Buckman. She graduated from Fulton High School and continued her education as a RN at Sauk Valley Community College.
Barbara was most recently employed at Cedarwood Health Care Center as the Administrator for the last 4 years. She lovingly mentored and supported the staff that worked for her. She provided love and respect for every resident that she cared for.
Barbara is survived by her daughter, Mariah Johnson of Colorado Springs; her sons, Jeremiah (Dana Rarden) Kennedy of Swisher, IA. , Abraham (Brandy Reiter) Kennedy of Colorado Springs and her nephew who was like a son to her Josh Workman of Davenport, IA; her sister, Jingles Karuga of LaFarge, WI; Her beloved grandchildren, McKinzie Johnson, Amaya Kennedy, Jack Kennedy, Alyssa Kennedy, Abigael Kennedy, Lucas Workman, Mercedes Rettkoski and Abigail Mcdonnough.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters Becky Workman and Jill Sikkema.
