Barbara Janet Green, age 89, died in Loveland, Colorado on July 25, 2021. She was born in Oscoda, MI on August 30, 1931. She was predeceased by her husband, Darold Green, her parents, Alfred Larson and Beatrice Larson, and two brothers, Arley Larson and Jack Larson. She is survived by her brother Jim Larson (Mary) of Oscoda, Michigan and her children, Christina Yule (Dennis) of Green Lane, PA, Sherry Nesmith (Chris) of Windsor, CO, Paula Stepansky (Mark) of Coral Springs, FL, Jeffery Green (Pam) of Manila, Philippines and 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Barbara and Darold lived in Westminster, CO for 60 years. She retired from Westminster School District 50 after a 20 year career as a 1st Grade Teacher at Fairview Elementary School. She loved to scrapbook, making books for her children , grandchildren and great-grandchildren as keepsakes of their lives.
Barbara was active in the Westminster Elks Lodge with Darold for many years. She also served as a volunteer with the District 50 Rescue Unit Volunteer Ambulance for 25 years. They were snowbirds in Yuma, AZ for 13 years. She enjoyed traveling, crocheting, reading and jigsaw puzzles.
Barbara was devoted to her husband of 67 years, helping him through his illness with Alzheimer’s.
