Barbara Jane Whitley departed this life August 29, 2016, surrounded by her family. Barbara retired from Walker County School Systems as a bus driver. She drove routes in Chattanooga Valley, Flintstone, Happy Valley, and Rossville and touched many people’s lives. She had a wonderful ability to bring people together and loved to host family reunions. She could feed an army with great ease, and was always taking care of those that needed her. She will be greatly missed by all. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Whitley, son, Wendell Whitley, brothers, Jim Brown, Larry Brown, sister, Charlene Davis, mother, Lula Bell Brown, and father Charles Brown.
Barbara is survived by her son, Ricky Whitley, Ringgold, GA, brother, Bill Brown, Ringgold, GA, grandsons, Aaron (Katie) Whitley, Erlanger, KY, Clayton Whitley , Chickamauga, GA, granddaughters Melissa Wilson, Ringgold, GA, Abbey Whitley, San Diego, CA
