Barbara Jane (Scherer) Wadley, 71, of Greenwood, died Saturday Feb. 27, 2016 in Indianapolis.
Barb was born March 22,1944 in Indianapolis to Otto and Helen (Fox) Scherer.
She graduated from Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis.
She was a homemaker and room mother when her daughters were in school. Barb enjoyed crocheting and loved to donate the many items she made, blankets for babies in the hospital, caps for chemo patients and holiday items for school children.
Barb also enjoyed spending time playing bingo and volunteering at Johnson County Senior Services.
She was lovingly known as, Barbie, Janie, Aunt BoBo and Granny.
She is survived by three daughters, Tammie (Michael) Ortlieb of Michigan, Tracy (Tina) Moyer of Beech Grove, and Wendy (Rick) Taylor of Greenwood, a sister, Karen (Bud) Britt of Madison, and eight grandchildren, Steven, Maggie, John, and Kate Ortlieb,T.J. and Tristin Moyer and Britney and Cody Taylor.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James “Bud” Wadley, formerly of Jackson, Tennessee, her parents, Otto and Helen Scherer and two brothers, Richard and Robert Scherer.
