Muncie – Barbara J. Johnson, 86, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2013, at The Woodlands following an extended illness.
Barbara was born in Muncie on September 1, 1926, the daughter of Dwight and Maude (Hamilton) McGill, and attended Eaton High School.
Survivors include her daughter, Cheryl L. Steed, (husband-Russell), Muncie; three granddaughters, Lesa Grant, (husband-Larry), Indianapolis, Amy Legg, (husband-Christopher), Indianapolis, and Marla Hylton, (husband-James), Indianapolis; four great-grandchildren, Allison and Emily Legg, and Vivian and Reese Grant.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Robert Levon Johnson; her step-father, who raised her most of her life, Estel Chandler her parents; and a brother, Dewayne McGill.
