It is with sadness that we share the passing of Barbara Roberta Goldstein, wife of the late James N. Goldstein and mother to Jamie Paul, Roger Goldstein and Jay Goldstein. Barbara passed peacefully at home in her sleep on Thursday, February 6, 2020 at the age of 88. She was surrounded by loving family and the companionship of a little black kitty.

The family reflects with gratitude on their loving mother and nana. Barbara was always there to care for her family as they moved about the country – in support of her husband’s career with the Boy Scouts of America.

A quiet and humble mother, Barbara was always active in her children’s lives – assisting with school and scouting and providing a loving home. She enjoyed sewing and knitting, was often found reading a good book, and kept active in the Jewish community, as well as various civic groups.

No matter where they lived, from cities as big as Albuquerque, Houston and Harlingen, to the small rural communities of Cimarron and Ute Park, New Mexico, Barbara provided a spiritual Jewish home for her family.

Barbara is survived by daughter, Jamie Paul; son-in-law, Martin Paul; granddaughter, Gillian Bloomfield; great-grandchildren, Daniel and Flora Bloomfield; grandson, Jacob Paul;  granddaughter, Madeline Berger; son, Roger Goldstein; daughter-in-law, Stacy Goldstein; grandson, Ian Goldstein, and granddaughter, Toree Goldstein; son, Jay Goldstein, daughter-in-law, Liberty Goldstein, granddaughter, Abigale Goldstein, grandson, Jesse Goldstein and grandson, Toviah Goldstein.

Zikhronah Livrakha, may her memory be a blessing.
