Barbara Jean Fiscus, 87, of Ellettsville passed away Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Richland Bean Blossom Health Care Center. Born September 24, 1925 in Monroe County, she was the daughter of Omer and Flora (Shields) May.
Barbara worked for Allison Aircraft in Indianapolis during World War II before becoming a homemaker. She was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed cooking and being with her family.
Survivors include three sons, Stephen Fiscus of Odon, Terry Fiscus (Melinda) of Indianapolis, Ray Fiscus (Lynn) of Elkhart, five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one niece, Gwen DeBoy (Joe) of Bloomington. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Berle R. Fiscus (2012), three sisters, Martha Ann “Marty” (Fiscus) Endwright, Frieda (May) Smith, Dorothy (May) Elgar and six other brothers and sisters.
