Winsted: Barbara (Dietlin) McCarthy, 81, of 120 Coe Street, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2009, following a short illness. She was the wife of Robert McCarthy. Born in Winsted, November 14, 1927, daughter of the late Charles and Irene (Zavatkay) Dietlin, she had lived here all of her life. Prior to her retirement, she was a legal secretary for Ells, Quinlan, Eddy and Robinson. She was a graduate of The Gilbert School, class of 1945 and Bay Path Women’s College. She was a lifelong communicant of St. Joseph Parish.
