Barbara (Bobbie) R. Trahnstrom of Fairfield, beloved wife of the late Nils Walter Trahnstrom, passed away peacefully in her home Sunday, August 8, 2021. Born in Mount Vernon, NY on July 13, 1929, the daughter of the late Peter and Ethel (Grant) Rhynas, she had been a Fairfield resident since 1965. She was a 1947 graduate of A.B. Davis High School in Mount Vernon and attended Edgewood Park Junior College in Briarcliff Manor, NY. Bobbie’s first full-time job was a lab technician at Mount Vernon Hospital. After raising her four children, she returned to work as a secretary for F.G. Mason Engineering in Fairfield.
