Barbara “Bobbie” Ballenger Snyder passed away April 27, 2007 in FWB Hospital.
She was born in Cortez, CO on Sept. 6, 1919, moving to Denver in 1922. She married Willard Snyder in 1937. They moved to Fort Walton in 1972 where they owned Derrel’s Lace and Nylon Shop until they retired in 1983.
Willard and Bobbie were married for 65 years at the time of his death in 2003.
She loved to china paint, sew, knit, and create miniature displays. She was never idle and thrived on giving to others. Her beautiful smile will always be remembered.
She is survived by a son, Errol and wife Karen of Wheat Ridge, CO; and daughter Jacque Baines and husband Don of Shalimar. She cherished her 8 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her “big” sister Sue Ferry of Navarre.
