Barbara Ann Elliott

Barbara Ann (Girard) Elliott, of Leominster, passed away peacefully, at home after and eight month battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her family and close friends.
Barbara was born in Fitchburg, on March 8, 1935, to the late Arthur and Mary (Seliga) Girard. She attended St. Bernard’s School and graduated from Fitchburg High School. Her teen years she was a waitress for her father’s business. She worked for Jay-Ron’s, Victory Market’s for many years, as well as Union Products.
She is survived by her loving husband, William Elliott Jr., her sister, Frances “Cookie” and her husband Richard of Leominster, her children Bruce Gove of Ashby, Cindy (Gove) Duval and her husband Ronald of Leominster, Darlene (Gove) Hayes and her husband James of Lancaster. Her step-children in Oklahoma, Carol Veil, John Elliott, Jimmy Elliott, and Mario Elliott, 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 14 step-grandchildren, 3 step-great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins and her cousins friends Paul and Paula Hulecki of Leominster. She was predeceased by her daughter Brenda Gove Valentine’s Day in 2013, her step-son William Elliott III Jan. 25, 2014, her sister Dot Girard, her brother’s Arthur Girard Jr., Bernie Girard, and Donald Girard.
Barbara loved singing, dancing, and cooking. Her all-time best things in life were her family and extended family, she loved them all and was our “Queen.” Thank you to the Simon Cancer Center to all the people who cared for her. They always called her a cutie.
