Barbara Ann Amacher, 87, passed away peacefully Monday, April 18th, 2016 at the Ledges at Rockynol.
Daughter of Vernon and Orthilda Arnold, Barbara was born and raised in Akron Ohio where she would later meet the love of her life, James “Jimmy” Amacher and would go on to marry, and even celebrate their 69th wedding anniversary together, this past January. A woman of faith, Barbara attended Firestone Park Christian Church regularly and also enjoyed sewing and baking. Known for being musically gifted, she blessed all with her love of music and singing. Faith and family were her priorities in life.
Along with Jim, she will be missed by her children Karen (Steven) Myers and Brian (Mary) Amacher; siblings Mark Arnold and Marlys (Vern) Hershberger; grandchildren Christie Ketler, Bethany Denison, Todd (Jackie) Fincher, Andrew Myers and Blake Amacher; great-grandchildren Haleigh, Kayla, Tyson, Bryce, Declan and Owen, as well as many countless family members and friends that she has touched over the years. She was preceded in death by her step-mother Marjorie and her brother Robert Arnold.
