Barbara A. Lehner, 89, of Osceola, IN, passed away at 2:45 a.m. Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at Ernestine M. Raclin House-Center for Hospice Care in Mishawaka, IN.

She was born on March 26, 1933 to the late Andrew A. and Clara (Jaroszewski) Palicki in South Bend, IN, and was a lifelong area resident. Along with her parents; she was preceded in death by a son, Kevin G. Lehner; and her brother, Ed Palicki.

Barbara graduated in 1950 from South Bend Catholic High School. Her first job was with The Associates, where she worked for seven years before shifting her time and attention to raising five children—the joy of her life. She retired in 2007 from the University of Notre Dame, where she worked in the Food Service Department for seven years. Prior to that, she worked at Morris Park Country Club for 14 years. 

On May 12, 1956, as Barbara A. Palicki, she married Robert M. Lehner at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in South Bend, IN.  She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Robert M. Lehner, Sr. of Osceola, IN; one daughter, Karen (Tim) Legge of South Bend, IN; three sons, Robert M. Lehner, Jr. of Mishawaka, IN; David Lehner of Osceola, IN; Mark Lehner of North Hills, CA; six grandchildren, Daniele (Jeremy) Dallman of Kirkland, WA; Kristin (James) Schragg of Granger, IN; Samantha and Luke Legge of South Bend, IN; Robby Lehner of Mishawaka, IN; Paul Lehner Dawson of Niles, MI; eight great grandchildren, Maya and Ella Dallman, both of Kirkland, WA; Isaac and Noah Lehner, both of Mishawaka, IN; Kendal, Jameson, and Kalahan Schragg, all of Granger, IN; and Zaiden Lehner Dawson of Niles, MI. 

Barbara was a devout Catholic and member of Queen of Peace Parish in Osceola, IN. Previous to that she was a member of Saint John the Baptist of South Bend for 50 years. She was a great mother with a kind heart, and known for her cooking and baking skills. She also loved being a grandma and spending time with her grandchildren.
