Barbara A. Lange, 83, of Lafayette, has been reunited with her late husband, Oliver Lange. She passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at Five Star Residences.
She was born June 7, 1938, in Lafayette, to the late James ‘JC’ and Frances E. (Dexter) Crowell.
Barbara attended Oakland Elementary where her sister Jane Crowell later taught Kindergarten. Barb graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School in 1956.
On October 5, 1968, she married Oliver P. Lange in Lafayette. He preceded her in death on April 25, 2016.
Barbara worked as a X-Ray Technologist starting at Home Hospital for eight years and then for Arnett Clinic for 33 years before retiring in 1997.
She was a member of Congress Street United Methodist Church and enjoyed Purdue Football and Basketball as well as the Chicago Cubs and Indianapolis Colts.
Surviving is a daughter, Laura Lange, a brother, Bill (wife Rita) Crowell, and her sister-in-law, Barbara Crowell all of Lafayette. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Barbara was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Crowell and a sister, Jane Crowell.
