Barbara A. Farmer, 76, of Springfield and formerly of Ashland, died Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016, at St. John’s Hospital. She was born April 10, 1939, in Springfield, the daughter of Pirdie Boner and Ethel Wadlow. She married Raymond H. “Bud” Farmer on Oct. 30, 1964, in Ashland, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 2, 1987.
She is survived by her two daughters, Peggy Ford of Riverton, and Karla (David) Barnes of Girard; four grandchildren, Amber and Justin Ford of Riverton, and Tanner and Jared Barnes of Girard; and one sister, Donna Finney of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Jesse Boner.
Mrs. Farmer worked at Franklin Life Insurance Company in Springfield for several years.
