Bertha Faye Edwards, 77, of Indianapolis, passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 2021. She was born on September 20, 1943 in Indianapolis to the late James C. and Lillian B. (Coley) Jones. Faye married the love of her life, Joe R. Edwards, on March 28, 1959; he preceded her in death on January 28, 2019.
Faye graduated from Emmerich Manual High School and worked for Diamond Chain for 30+ years prior to retirement. She was a very sweet and compassionate person who never met a stranger.
Survivors include her children, Dennis J. Edwards, Janice (Jeffrey) O’Neal and Douglas Edwards; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Joe R. Edwards; her parents; and siblings, James B. Jones and Virgie Frances Felker.
