B. Ellen Sickels, 73, of Holiday City Berkeley section of Berkeley Twsp., NJ died on Tuesday November 7, 2017 at Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ. She was born in Orange, NJ and grew up in Maplewood, NJ and lived in Texas and Bayville, NJ before moving to Berkeley Twsp., NJ in 2001. Ellen proudly served her country in the US Army for 10 years. She was a Sgt in the Military Police stationed in Kansas, Texas, Germany plus others and traveled to many countries. Ellen earned her BS in Criminal Justice from American Technological University, Texas.
Ellen volunteered for the Bayville & Holiday City First Aid Squads. She retired as a dispatcher for Berkeley Twsp. in Bayville, NJ. Ellen is predeceased by her parents Augustine and Eleanor Sickels. Surviving are her siblings Barbara Zenno and her husband John of Yardley, PA, Kathleen Penza and her husband Joseph of Wall Twsp., NJ and Michael Sickels and his wife Theresa of Independence, NJ and many loving nieces and nephews.
