Audrey M. Melby, nee Wright, 88, of O’Fallon, IL, born Thursday, April 18, 1929 in Wisbech, England, passed away at Cedar Ridge Health and Rehab Center in Lebanon, IL on Thursday, March 29, 2018.
Audrey loved taking care of her family, being a homemaker, sewing and collecting Teddy Bears. She had a passion for baking for her family and friends, who looked forward to her delicious treats. She loved spending her time taking care of her beautiful garden.
Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Gladys Wright, nee Chaffe; four brothers, Frank, Arthur, Tom, Syd Wright; and one sister, Elsie Swan. Surviving are her loving spouse, Robert Melby of O’Fallon, IL; two children, Alan (Susan) Melby of Boise, ID, Cheryl (Rory) Kinney of O’Fallon, IL; one sister, Jan (Bob) Bryan of Lincoln, NE; three grandchildren, Stephanie Buckingham of Boise, ID, Chelsey (Adam) Wyant of Boise, ID, Geoffrey (Ashley) Kinney of Ft. Benning, GA; four great-grandchildren, Lorelai Kinney, Logan Kinney, Ellasyn Kinney, and Emma Buckingham.
