Audra Faye Livengood Thomas
On June 2, 2017, Audra Faye Thomas, joined her heavenly Father and all of whom she loved that went before her. Her husband of 57 years Nolan Thomas, and their children and spouses, Kevin and Kris Thomas, Michelle and Ron Hamric, and Beth Ann and Shawn Barger surrounded her in her passing and new beginning in heaven.
Faye was the daughter of the late Dewey and Dora Livengood. She is survived by one brother, Myron Livengood. She was proceeded in death by two brothers Hugh and Blaine, and three sisters, Maxine, Geraldine, and Irene.
Faye was a beautiful and caring soul who adored the Lord and her ever-growing family. She was a member of the Kingwood Baptist Church and was a devoted member of her church choir. She sang beautifully. She was a loyal friend, a dependable neighbor, and woman of God. Faye was one with many gifts, and she shared them with everyone around her. She had a love for her grandchildren like no other, and strived to preserve a close-knit bond within her family. She was creative with her hands and with her mind, and instilled the greatest of values in those she loved. Faye never missed a beat, always involved in the lives of her 6 grandchildren and spouses, Kelsey and Eric Clark, Karly and Nathan Pritts, Jordan Hamric, Kaylan and Tim Dalton, Makena Thomas, and Nash and Kristen Thomas, and 6 great-grandchildren, Lane, Heath, Hadley, Finley, Mack, and Nolan. She made every moment, every gift, and every holiday special, memorable, and simply fun. She had the many talents of her generation, making a home-made meal from scratch, crocheting and sewing keepsakes for her family, and canning every fall until her shelves were full. She was well known for her homemade noodles, buckwheat cakes, and for calling to sing her family happy birthday every year, just to make their day extra special. She looked forward to last minute shopping trips, hosted the greatest family picnics, savored surprise visits from her “babies”, and treasured every moment with her great-grandchildren who adored her very much in return.
Faye made beautiful friendships with many, of all ages and all walks of life. She touched the hearts of everyone who had a moment with her. She shared her faith and a helping hand to many. Life will simply not be the same without her smile, her hugs, and especially the beautiful sound of her voice. Her everlasting phrase brings comfort to those who adored her most, “Grandma love it.”
A very heartfelt thanks to Dr. Mike Schwarzenberg and the caring staff of the 300 hall at Pine Ridge, as well as the Hospice of Preston County nurses who cared for Faye and her family.
