Ashley Ann Gilbert (Taphouse) of Owosso passed away on November 15th, 2021 at the age of 33. Ashley passed away in her home in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She was born on August 23rd, 1988 in Owosso, MI; Ashley is the daughter of Michelle Houska (Taphouse) and Haskel Lee Crabtree Jr. Ashley attended school at both Owosso and Ovid-Elsie area schools. She was married to Paul Gilbert on August 27th, 2019 and together they have one son, Christopher Gilbert.From a young age, her granny, Beverly, taught Ashley to cook and bake, a passion and talent Ashley pursued throughout her life. She also enjoyed listening to music, drawing and loved to spend time doing hair, nails and make-up and loved her family deeply. Ashley is survived by her husband, Paul; Children Holly, Logan, Lily, Isabella, David and Christopher; Siblings Jordan Quinn, Alex Taphouse, and Dominic Houska; Mother Michelle (Jason) Houska; Uncles Jeff (Kathy) Taphouse, Bob (Sue) Taphouse, Tim Taphouse, and Todd (Inge) Taphouse along with many cousins. Ashley was predeceased by her beloved grandparents, Tad and Beverly Taphouse, aunt, Cindy Taphouse and cousin, Brian Taphouse. Funeral services will be held at Nelson-House Funeral Homes of Owosso, Michigan on Saturday November 20th, 2021. The family will receive visitors from 3pm-4pm with a memorial service to follow at 4pm. Memorial Contributions are suggested to the family.
